Zhangzidao Fishery buys into sturgeon aquaculture company

Zhangzidao Fishery Group will spend 100 million yuan (US$15.4 million)  to buy a 20 percent stake in a Yunnan-based sturgeon fishery company, marking its entry into the freshwater aquaculture industry, reports China Business News, citing a company filing.

The target firm is China’s largest sturgeon fishery and has more than 10 fisheries in Beijing, Hebei, Chongqing and Yunnan. Zhangzidao Fishery, which is based in Dalian, said the international price of sturgeon caviar hit €5000 (US$7,174) per kilogram. Read ...
