BCSFA supports the release of fish health data

In Canada the British Columbia salmon farmers association (BCSFA), has supported the public release of fish health data which is thousands of pages dealing with farm by farm. This data comes from the Cohen Commission which is looking into the decline of the Fraser river Sockeye salmon. The decision to make this information public was Judge Bruce Cohen and his decision is supported by the (BCSFA). "There is nothing to connect the health of our farmed fish to the challenges faced by Fraser River Sockeye - we have already heard that in the first day of hearings on aquaculture," said Ms Walling from (BCSFA).
