Good training is crucial to successful aquaculture.  Today I've heard about two educational projects:
  • Farmers from Sikkim, India have attended trout management workshop run by State Fisheries Department.  It's hoped that trout farming careers will help tackle youth unemployment.  Trout was introduced to the area by the Bristish during colonial rule.  Read more...
  • Meanwhile, in Honduras, the National Agricultural Health Service is training technicians how to prevent white shrimp disease.  Read more...
