The list of attendees was a relative who's who of the Aquaculture industry, from Prince Albert II of Monaco, through to senior Portuguese, Canadian, Norwegian and American government officials and of course a plethora professors, doctors including our very own Simon Davies through to Dr Bryce Wylde, Canada’s leading TV doctor and personality who is pushing forward the benefits of eating fish and consuming more Omega 3.

BioMarine was also the launch pad for the Wendy Schmidt Ocean Health X Prize, this is a $2 million dollar prize purse to incentivize the development of accurate, robust, and affordable pH sensors that will profoundly improve our understanding of ocean acidification.

This is the very tip of the iceberg of what has come out of BioMarine 2013. As always International Aquafeed was there, attending and taking part in tall the key sessions involving aquafeed and aquaculture technology.  As the only printed aquaculture magazine in attendance we have the unrivalled position of staying on top of the news as it happens, watch this space for all the latest on what has come out of BioMarine 2013.
